Oxford Street, London

I went to Oxford Street today, walking up and down. There were a lot of people as always. It’s London, you know. I am now very tired since it’d been a long walk. So, I will relax now and save my energy for tomorrow.

Holiday in London, Britain

I am spending my holiday in London now. I just landed yesterday evening at Heathrow Airport. The weather here is almost like Denmark, raining and a bit sunshine. So today I just relax and plan my trip what I am going to see tomorrow and so forth.
Waiting for the plane to take off.
Just grabbed the tourist guide from the airport.
Going on Errands

I had been out all day today, going errands, which made me bike from place to place, while it’s raining. So I hope, I’m not going to get sick. And now, I am totally fatigued. So I may go to bed early. Well, maybe I’ll try to finish one more chapter of the novel I am reading at the moment first since it’s getting very exciting now.
Richly Coloured Nails
July 9, 2009 at 16:35 | In Mode and Beauty | Leave a CommentTags: attention, beach, clothes, colour, fingernails, lipstick, nail, nail polish, nail varnish remover, rain, sandal, summertime, sun, weather
Today I am in the mood for doing my nails since I couldn’t go to the beach because the weather does not look so good in which we had had a light rain this morning, and the sun also shines only once in a while. Then I could see that my nails need some colour on since I haven’t done anything to them for a long time. So I just think of red would be a brilliant colour for my nails, and I do go with sandals a lot during summertime, they will thus show off my red nails excellently. And I think red nail polish and red lipstick go along very well with light-coloured clothes because then everyone’s attention would be on your richly coloured nails. Anyhow, red fingernails just look really fascinating in a hot summer day.
Tips: Use transparent nail varnish that is purpose-made to protect soft, weak nails before doing your nails, and remember to remove the nail polish with the nail varnish remover after 3-4 days because if you let the nail varnish stays on your nails longer than that, time after time, it will eventually destroy your nails in which you can see when they begin to turn yellow. So, by following these two steps when you do your nails, you will keep them looking marvellous and healthy for a very long time.
Just finished doing my nails.
Warm Clothing Ready for the Autumn

It wasn’t so bad at the dancing classes today since I wasn’t going to pass out, as I almost did last time, even though it is still plenty warm at the moment, maybe because I am getting used to the heat now. But the temperature will gradually get cooler and cooler from now on according to the weather forecast. So it is soon time to pull out a sweater, coat, groves or any kind of warm clothing ready for the autumn.
Well, we are still in the beginning of July, so it will be a while before the autumn will finally arrive. Thus, there is plenty of time to enjoy the summer yet. So I may go to the beach tomorrow if the sun is shining a lot because I want sunbathing.
Fashion Check!

I know it can be hard to imagine how a pair of skinny jeans and a pair of super high heel shoes really look like together on a person, as I talked about in my post, “Skinny Jeans and Super High Heel Shoes“? So in this post I am going to demonstrate how the two items actually do look together by having them on, as you can see in the photo below:
I am wearing skinny jeans with high heel shoes.
My Favourite Dessert

Pancake with ice cream is one of my favorite desserts. Well, I also like pancake with jam, sugar or maple syrup. Just anything that I can have it with pancake because it can’t subsist without the above-mentioned since it won’t otherwise taste of much then. So after dinner I just warm two ready-made pancakes on a pan, and then serve them with ice cream. That’s it.

Buppha Jazz Dance
I try to practise jazz dance in which I have to swing my chest from left to right, right to left, and back and forth without moving the other parts of the body. The same with my hip, which is quite difficult, I think.
Cool Watermelon

It is very warm at the moment, which is phenomenal since we rarely have a real hot summer. So when I cycled around the city this morning I then stopped by a greengrocer’s and bought a watermelon. I love watermelon. And when it is quite hot as it is now, then a delightful, sweet segment of watermelon is really a good solution to quench one’s thirst. Especially, when it has been in a fridge for a while, which makes it become cool and delicious, and thereby ready to turn off the unbearable heat.
Delicious watermelon.
Local Music Club
July 3, 2009 at 22:51 | In Music | Leave a CommentTags: artist, band, concert, music club, music venue, performance, stadium, ticket
I was determined on attending Coldplay’s concert at Roskilde Festival the day after tomorrow. But since the band is going to preform quite late in which it’s set on closing the Orange Scene on Sunday night, which I think, it is too late for me because Roskilde is quite far from where I live, thus it wouldn’t be easy for me to get home again afterward. So I decided not to attend the concert anyway. I therefore hope that the band will perhaps come back to Copenhagen again and give an another gig at a regular music venue, which will be more convenient for me to attend the performance.
Well, it is not only Coldplay that I would like to attend its concert, there are many bands and artists out there that I would also like to attend their performances. But since when they finally come to a music club in Copenhagen, then you have to be quick at purchasing the ticket, otherwise it will be sold out very quickly. And I must admit that I am not good at that. So it is often that I do miss the gigs of the bands I like.
Sometimes some of my favourite bands or artists they do give a concert in a big stadium in Copenhagen in which you don’t have to worry that much about the ticket will be quickly sold out. But then I do not like attending a concert in such a huge stadium, I better like a small local venue because it is more relaxed and comfortable. So regrettably, I rarely attend a concert in a big stadium, even though the band or the artist I like is giving a concert there.
Skinny Jeans and Super High Heel Shoes

Skinny jeans and super high heel shoes are very in right now since they are such a perfect match in which the jeans and the shoes make your legs look very long, and thereby show off one’s beautiful legs. And it doesn’t need to be expensive jeans, there are many jeans from different brands at affordable price that can cost around $30 or so, which is an OK price for a nice, new pair of jeans. Or, you can also find those skinny jeans in a second-hand shop that possibly cost less than $10. Alternatively, you may as well give your wardrobe an inspection, and see about you still have some pairs of skinny jeans and high heel shoes that you can reuse them again as brand-new.

Dancing Lessons

I just got home from my dancing lessons, which was horrible this time because of the warmth, so we could hardly dance. And if we had to dance 10 more minutes than the appointed time, then I think, I’m going to pass out because I could no longer stand the heat.
Now, I’m going to have a light meal, afterward I’ll continue to read a novel that I had borrowed from the library a couple of days ago.
Margarita and Quesadilla Snack

I was so hungry at lunchtime, but I did not know what to have for lunch? I then had a walk down the street and thought to myself, “whatever I see at my first sight, I’ll buy it for lunch since I am so hungry, so I have no time to be difficult”. And then I saw a Mexican restaurant in which I had never seen it before, or maybe it has been there long time, but I had just not noticed it. So I decided to have Mexican food for lunch. I then started with a margarita first, as to sharpen my appetite, followed with quesadilla, which was eminent. So it was a good choice for lunch indeed.

Planing my Vacation

Now I am completely done with all of the examinations. So now it is time to relax and prepare myself for the next semester because I still have one semester left at school. Thus, I have to plan my vacation wisely what I am going to do since time goes by quickly nowadays.
Well, one thing is for sure that I would like to continue to compose my songs. But I am also aware of that I wouldn’t be able to compose that many songs since I still have some examination projects that I have to prepare myself for towards the end of my last semester. And they are going to be pretty tough projects. So, I’d better focus my energy on my education than music at the moment. Therefore if I could only compose two songs or just one song during my vacation, then that’s fine with me.

The Loss of Micheal Jackson

I would like to express my condolences to Micheal Jackson’s children and family. His death was a sad loss to music history. I have been listening to his music all my life, especially when I was a teenager living in the 80’s. His music is so unique and inspiring, thus it will clearly continue to live on long after his passing.

And then I’ll perhaps go rent a movie to watch later on, or just go have my lunch at a cafe instead, and then sit there for a while since the sun is shining a lot today. And next week, according to weather forecast, the weather is going to be better and better, which means we can expect a sunny weather for the next whole week. So, let’s see about it will hold.

Freshly Baked Bread for Breakfast
June 18, 2009 at 17:39 | In Food and Drink | Leave a CommentTags: bread, breakfast, coffee shop, croissant, latte
I assume that everybody likes the smell of freshly baked bread because I do. Therefore I sometimes like getting up early in the morning as to go get some fresh bread at the bakery’s. Then come home, make a cup of coffee, slice 2-3 pieces of the warm bread, butter them, put a piece of cheese on one of them, and jam on the other, then my breakfast is ready. The freshly baked bread and hot coffee constitute a good combination of a simple but delightful breakfast, which I like it. I also like going to a coffee shop in the morning and having a latte with a croissant, and just sitting there and enjoying my breakfast and watching people walk by. Afterwards I’ll be ready to begin my day.

Smarten Up My Wardrobe
June 17, 2009 at 17:17 | In Mode and Beauty | Leave a CommentTags: belt, blouse, bracelet, clothes, dress, earring, errand, necklace, town, wardrobe
When I looked into my wardrobe this morning I saw some old dresses and blouses that begin to go out of fashion. I then think to myself, I have got to do something about it lest I should throw them out, soon. So when I went into town this morning because I had a few errands to do there, I then also looked for some necklaces, as to smarten up my rags a little bit. Thus, I had found this necklace (photo below) which I think, it would fit my old clothes nicely in which it does. So sometimes a simple piece of jewellery or accessories, such as belt, necklace, bracelet or earrings, can really revive an old dress, blouse, skirt, etc.
Me with the necklace I had just bought on.
A smart necklace can go along with most of the clothes. And this necklace cost $18, which is not bad for its design and usefulness.
Go Shopping

I went out and did my shopping this afternoon. But before I began to shop, I just had myself a drink at a cafe first, which is in the vicinity of the supermarket, so it facilitated me to do my shopping afterwards. There were many people at the cafe because the weather is good today, with just a touch of coolness in the air. After I had sat there for a while, it began to get chilly, and the sun also stopped shining, which could be an indication that it would rain soon. I must therefore finish my drink in a hurry and left the cafe for the supermarket right away.

I like art and culture. So sometimes I like going to museum and study the old and ancient history from different timeline, such as Ancient Egypt, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, etc. It is a delight to the eye to see those survivals from the old time. And when I look at those relics of the past, I wish I could go back in time, so I could live and experience how it would be like to live in a time which things were totally different from the present time. And people of today have gained a lot of knowledge of our history from what the ancients had left behind. Therefore it is quite an enchanting moment for me standing there in the museum and being surrounded by historic relics and an atmosphere of irreversible time. Thus, I think, I will find a time to go visit a museum again soon.

Today I’m going to enrol in piano lessons because I am now poised to resume the classes. Thus, I am looking forward to starting it when I’m done with the exam. Afterwards I’ll stop by a hairstylist’s and make an appointment for my haircut as well. But it’s not going to be short, though. I just want to give it more form and structure. But before I begin to go on errands I need to have a breakfast first, so now I’m on my way for a lovely brunch at a cafe since it is quite boring to make breakfast for myself every single day, so today I’ll indulge myself a little bit.

Attending the Trends Show
June 8, 2009 at 23:39 | In Mode and Beauty | Leave a CommentTags: accessories, bracelet, ear ring, fashion show, mode show, necklace, pearl, ring, stand, trinket, visitor
In connection with my attendance at the fashion show last year I had visited several stands at the exhibition indiscriminately, including the trinket/accessories stand. And I happened to spend my time a little bit longer at the latter because those gaily coloured row of stones in the shapes of necklace, bracelet, ring, ear ring, etc. looked so marvellous, so I must try some of them on; some of them were too opulent with many details, some were very simple, anyway they were all strikingly beautiful.
But the place, Bella Center, is too big to walk around and see all of the stands I wanted to see, and it was constantly being overrun by invading visitors at the time the exhibition was held, so I just gave up trying to squeeze through the crowd, therefore I didn’t see much as I had expected to see anyway. Thus, when the trends show began at exactly 1pm that Saturday I was there I then just went inside the show, and then went home again right after. But it had been such a worthwhile experience for me to visit the exhibition anyhow, as a fashion-enthusiast. So maybe I will attend the mode show again in August this year.
